NI has decided to play the supporting role less and be at the forefront more this year. The rapper who has been on a long hiatus in regard to releasing music appeared on tracks more commonly as a feature in the past.
This is all set to change as he came through to premiere a new single titled “Worldwide Party” on the show last weekend. As we later came to find out, this track was one of those impromptu tracks that he did while they were at the Urban Aksent Studio going through a collection of instrumentals.
NI’s “Worldwide Party” in detail.
With the production handled by Lawraid Vybz, the track has an unmistakable Dancehall vibe and he is joined by Sizzaman, who as usual, drops some witty lines, and Jhay Efekt who compliments the Hiphop flavor that he brings to the song.
The video for this single was to be shot the next day (Sunday) and according to him, it should be available within three weeks. He came through with his fellow rapper Lethal told us that he has been in the studio cooking up a lot of music and that we are going to be hearing much more from him in the near future.
The two actually gave us an exclusive listening session for their forthcoming singles with NI sampling “Back for the Season” which was produced by Simon Elly and Levy Boy, and Lethal sampling his new single titled “Willing”.
Lethal also told us about his new company called The Hookup which provide PR services for artists and the two rappers stated that Ugandan Hiphop has made major progress and is at the point where we can compete with other countries dominating African Hiphop like South Africa and Nigeria.
“Worldwide Party” has undoubtedly unusual lineup when it comes to collaborations but it is a very energetic track that has the potential to do well both with the media houses and in the clubs. Check it out and share it widely.
