Patrobas has been quite busy this year. After releasing the 6-track EP titled “Road to CGOD”, he has been shooting a couple of videos for some of the tracks on the EP with the first one being “Voice Inside” which is out now and another one for “Doing Me” on the way.
The EP was supposed to be a prelude of sorts to a mix tape titled CGOD but as he debates whether to release it or not to, he has decided not to leave the fans without a treat. Patrobas recently released a new single titled “Gyal Dem”.
Patrobas on “Gyal Dem”.
“Gyal Dem” is a fusion of Hip-Hop, Afropop and Dancehall produced by Tribal on which Patrobas raps and sings too. Much as it doesn’t employ kicks with a lot of punch or very thick basslines, “Gyal Dem” is a fairly energetic song that fits the party scene.
On this one, Patrobas takes time to appreciate all the beautiful women that he comes across in different scenarios and goes on to describe the kind of features he prefers on a girl.
Patrobas has always had a good ear for the kind of sound that works better when it comes to making a song that is “hit-material” while still releasing music that tells his story and carries a strong message.
Word from him is that regardless of whether the mix tape is released or not, he plans on releasing a considerable amount of music and so the only question should be whether it will drop as one project or a bunch of singles.
If “Gyal Dem” is the first of many songs to come out this year, then he probably has a couple of very good singles lined up for the fans. For now, check out this new single and share it with a friend.
